A Personal Journey with Sleep

This is a bit of a personal story. I’ve witnessed the rise of cellphones, from simple calling devices with tiny screens to the current 6-inch powerhouses that put a full computer in your palm. It’s not a new story; most of us have seen this incredible transformation. However, one side effect for me was a change in my attitude towards sleep. I completely disregarded the fact that I needed 8 hours of quality sleep each night. Years of neglecting sleep eventually led to some health problems. That’s when I realized I needed to make a change and focus on getting more rest.

Enter a real eye-opener for me: Matthew Walker’s book “Why We Sleep.” This book is a must-read for anyone who thinks they can function on less than 6 hours of sleep. The book’s message resonated so deeply that I had to SketchNote it – a visual way to capture the key takeaways. These personal reminders serve as a constant nudge to prioritize sleep in my life.

Have you read the book? Any powerful insights you want to share?
