The best way to get started with sketchnoting is to draw something daily. But then the question usually arises: ‘What do I draw?’ Researching a topic to draw can be quite time-consuming. So, what if a prompt is readily available? That can help you get started, but then the next question is, ‘What if I don’t draw well enough?’ So, what if you could share with a community in a safe space without judgment? Your drawing skills don’t matter; what matters is your participation. The only expectation: ‘Show up daily.’
About two years ago, the Atomic Sketches group was started with the idea to get into the drawing habit, build a visual library, and commit to learning. We have practiced on various prompts, styles, logos, human poses, human interactions, metaphors, and much more. We recently reflected on this and uncovered so many benefits. The best way to show them is to create a Sketchnote.
