It is a SketchNote for the book - The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

Back in 2011, I came across The Last Lecture video on YouTube. It was the shorter version that Randy Pausch delivered on Oprah show but it left an impression on me. A man battling Terminal Cancer gave one of the most powerful lecture of all time. I read the book too and it is one of my favourite books of all time.

So when I was picking up SketchNoting skills, one of the books that I did want to summarise was ‘The Last Lecture’. I did not want to the full story telling but I picked up the lessons that resonated with me the most and visualised them in this SketchNote.

I still keep revisiting the book, go through my highlights and notes once in a while. I still end up discovering something new that resonates with me.

Randy’s Last Lecture was meant for his three kids who were young at the time. He wanted them to take up good values, his experience and approach to life since he may not be able to teach them directly given his terminal diagnosis. This is one of my motivating factors to create all my work. A lesson for my son and the generations beyond.
